Matthew Yount

Mr. Matt Yount was born in Northern Virginia and raised right here in Port St. John (attending Challenger 7, Jackson Middle School, and graduating from THS in 1998). Upon graduating from the University of Central Florida with his B.S. in Exceptional Education (2002), he began teaching at Country Acres Children's Home in Titusville while also working toward his M.A. in Elementary Education at UCF (2005). He also achieved a childhood dream by training and becoming a professional wrestler in the central Florida region. In 2007, Mr. Yount was blessed to marry his wife and welcome a new son to his family. After 6 years at Country Acres, he accepted a position with Riverview Elementary where he has taught 5th and 6th grade for the last 4 years. When he is not teaching you'll find him spending time with his family; whether it is at church, watching sports and music events with his son, or reading stories and playing pretend with his twin 2-year old daughters. Mr. Yount is so excited to be a part of the Atlantis family and can't wait to have lots of fun learning with and teaching his students.
